Sous Chef


Assisting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen.
In charge of the purchasing and storage of food.
Ensuring high culinary standards are met.
Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are adhered to.
Assisting the head chef when it comes to writing menus and creating new recipes.


Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a hotel setting.
Ability to Multitask and remain organised and flexible.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Junior Sous Chef

The Junior Sous Chef must have good attention to detail. Reporting to our Head Chef, the ideal candidate

will work well under pressure and be good at multitasking.



To ensure all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to.

To ensure all S.O.P’s for food preparation and storage of the same is adhered to.

To comply and adhere to health and safety procedures.

To ensure that at the end of each shift the following is completed; all sauces, containers, food items are covered and refrigerated and dated.

To always ensure the highest standard of cleanliness under HACCP regulations. Develop knowledge in this area.

To prepare food as to the specification given to you by the Head Chef and stated in the menus.

To observe cost control measures and minimise food wastage.

To work in other sections of the kitchen, to ensure flexibility and assist in development of the kitchen brigade.
